Audiovector QR Sub SE - A refined and powerful subwoofer
The new QR sub SE is part of Audiovector's entry-level series, but you wouldn't believe it if you just heard it. The bass from this subwoofer is particularly solid, well-controlled and powerful due to its very sophisticated and innovative construction. This construction consists, among other things, of a 10" bass unit, which is combined with a passive and downward-firing unit, which handles the very lowest frequencies, and an extremely powerful amplifier. The built-in amplifier offers incredible flexibility, so you can connect it directly to your amplifier or directly to your speakers through the "Speakon" connection.

The SE series offers significant improvements
Compared to its predecessor, the new SE model offers an even more open, dynamic and detailed sound reproduction. It's a very clear and audible improvement that can easily be heard in an A/B demonstration.
The improvements in the SE series include, among other things, a new divider filter that has better characteristics in the bass response frequency. All of the internal wiring is now cryogenically treated, where it has been frozen to as low as -236 degrees to reduce resistance and improve signal transmission.
Audiovector has also improved the damping inside the cabinets using NanoPore™, which until now has only been used in the most exclusive and much more expensive Audiovector models. The SE series has optimized the damping factor, which improves the dynamic and aperiodic performance. They also got new ones precision milled spikes with a knurled counter screw for easy adjustment.
The subwoofer for the QR series
Like the rest of the QR series, the QR Sub SE offers the well-known Pure piston unit, which in short is a 3-layer sandwich membrane, where the two thin layers of aluminum act as the "bread", and the inner foam core as the filling. Audiovector has done this in order to utilize the light and rigid properties of aluminium, while the internal damping material ensures that the diaphragm does not create unwanted resonances and breaks up the sound at the higher frequencies. This membrane technology means that the subwoofer delivers an honest, sophisticated and fast bass reproduction that never turns into pure booming bass. It gives instruments such as drums an extra kick and depth around them, and is therefore a perfect match for the speakers from the rest of the QR series. However, this does not mean that it can only be used in conjunction with Audiovector's speakers - the vast majority of speakers will benefit from the QR-sub's extra depth, which will add greater dimensionality to any kind of music.
Stylish design with a nice finish
The QR-sub is available in the same colors as the rest of the QR series. This means that you can get the QR-sub in a discreet satin white, which makes the subwoofer blend nicely into bright surroundings without making too much of a fuss. The slightly more eye-catching colors are a nice high-gloss black piano lacquer and a dark walnut veneer, where the wood veneer is of course real, so it fits with Audiovector's DNA of high quality.
