The RA180 represents a new era in amplifier technology. Traditional Class D amplifiers are known for their efficiency, but often criticized for their sound quality. However, HiFi Rose has solved these problems with their innovative Class AD amplifier technology, which uses GaN (gallium nitride) FETs. This technology ensures a higher speed and precision in the switching, resulting in a smooth and natural sound reproduction that is on par with the best analog amplifiers.

Perfect linearity and reduced dead time

Class D amplifiers theoretically promise perfectly linear output with 0% distortion and 100% efficiency. In practice, however, silicon FETs have limitations that affect the smoothness of the sound. The RA180 uses GaN FETs, which dramatically reduces dead time to a tenth and delivers a near perfect linear output. The result is a sound quality that goes beyond the limitations of Class D and delivers a smooth, natural sound like an analog amplifier.

Powerful and precise multi-output design

The RA180 is equipped with two independent amplifier modules, each specialized for different frequency ranges. One module focuses on stable mid-bass and balance, while the other handles high tones and super tweeter areas. Each module delivers 200 W (8 Ω) and can provide up to 400 W per channel. By connecting these modules to the speakers' different frequency ranges separately, an improved driving force is achieved without opposing electromotive force. In BTL mode, the two modules are combined for a rich, balanced sound.

Designed for an authentic reproduction of the harmonic overtones

Human hearing has an upper limit of 15-20 kHz, but music contains harmonic overtones that extend far beyond this range. The RA180 is designed to handle these high frequencies with a frequency response from 20 Hz to 50 kHz, and even up to 100 kHz @ -3 dB and 200 kHz @ -6 dB. This ensures a deep and wide soundstage that accurately reproduces the full spectrum of the music.

Advanced and stable power supply

The RA180's power supply is developed with fourth-generation SiC FET technology to deliver high power with minimal heat generation. The self-developed PFC (power factor circuit) ensures that the amplifier is not affected by sudden load changes. The power supply supports a powerful damping factor of at least 200 and delivers a total power of 1000 W, ensuring powerful bass and soft treble.

Precision phono amplifier with variable EQ

For vinyl enthusiasts, the RA180 offers an advanced phono amplifier that accurately reproduces the manufacturer's original intentions. With adjustable low-mid bass TURNOVER and high-frequency ROLL OFF functions, the amplifier can be adapted to different vinyl records. It supports both MOVING MAGNET and MOVING COIL pickups, and the precise EQ settings ensure that the sound is faithful to the original recording.
