KEF LSX II - Discover the joy of music, movies and games
There's never been a better time to discover the joy of being able to hear all the details of your favorite songs. KEF's six decades of experience in acoustic excellence combined with constant innovation and development of wireless technology have led to the creation of the LSX II; a compact wireless Hi-Fi system that delivers clean, precise sound, but with the compatibility and convenience of the very best wireless technology.
Much more than a simple upgrade from its award-winning predecessor, the KEF LSX II combines class-leading sound with the new W2 platform from the LS50 Wireless II, which has better connectivity and connectivity options. Unexpected connectivity options
With the LSX II you can play all the music in the world that you want. At the heart of this compact speaker you'll find the same ground-breaking W2 platform that powers the LS50 Wireless II. It ensures that you can listen to music exactly the way you prefer it. Absolutely without affecting the sound quality.
The KEF Connect app lets you stream Amazon Music, Qobuz, Tidal, Deezer, internet radio stations and podcasts. Apple AirPlay 2 and Google Chromecast seamlessly stream audio from compatible devices, while Bluetooth gives you even more options. You can stream directly from Spotify Connect, Tidal and QPlay, and it is also Roon Ready. When using Airplay 2, Chromecast or Roon, you can stream to multiple speakers so you can play music throughout your home.
If that wasn't enough, the LSX II can also play your own private music collection from a compatible NAS drive or music server. The wireless speaker also has extensive file support of up to 24bit/384kHz (PCM), DSD and full MQA reproduction.
Plug and play for TV and laptop
In addition to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, the LSX II also boasts an extensive collection of wired connections. These include HDMI ARC for seamless control using the TV remote control and a high-quality USB-C input, making the LSX II the perfect desktop system with your computer. There are also connections for your record player, CD player, games console and many other devices. And if you require your movies and music to pack some extra bottom, there's a dedicated output so you can plug in a KEF subwoofer for that bass you crave.
A performance in true Hi-Fi quality
The advantage of two speakers is that the music has room to breathe and develop, so that a three-dimensional sound image is created. The speakers almost disappear into the room, so you can immerse yourself in the music that unfolds in front of you and draws you completely into the experience.
Each LSX II loudspeaker uses a version of the KEF 11th generation Uni-Q driver array designed specifically for this loudspeaker. This signature technology acts as a point source, with the tweeter positioned in the exact acoustic center of the woofer, recreating how sound is naturally produced. This design eliminates the traditional small 'sweet spot' and instead delivers precise, pristine sound to all listeners.
The LSX II has a combined 200 watt system power. Both the tweeter and woofer are powered by their own dedicated amplifier to deliver room-filling sound in such compact enclosures.
Performance is further enhanced from the award-winning original by the Music Integrity Engine. The cutting-edge collection of custom digital signal processing algorithms just got an update. The Music Integrity Engine, optimized for the Uni-Q driver, enables the LSX II to deliver a perfectly timed performance, for better clarity and a tighter, more precise sound.
A user-focused experience
The KEF Connect app guides you through setup and controls the system and playback navigation with intuitive sound settings, so you can adjust the LSX II to best suit your room.
With its powerful Room EQ DSP, the LSX II can be fine-tuned to your room and personal taste without the need for a degree in acoustic engineering. 'Normal' mode is designed to talk you through the process with easy questions - all you need is a tape measure. For easy integration of a KEF subwoofer with the LSX II, Room EQ includes subwoofer presets for the best possible system performance.
The LSX II also comes with a host of other user-friendly features, including volume settings, sensitivity adjustments, and the ability to select a source to wake it up when powered up. You can choose to connect the speakers wirelessly with 24bit/48kHz resolution for a cable-free setup, or with the included cable for 24bit/96kHz resolution.
