Sonus Faber Sonetto II - Italian poetry
The Sonetto II is a significantly larger 2-way compact speaker than its little brother the Sonetto I. Its high performance is due to the larger 6" bass/midrange unit, which is able to ensure a wider downward frequency response and a greater emotional impact. The membrane material consists of natural fibers , which, after a process, achieves the combination of stiffness and lightness that is the gold standard in unit production, because this combination of stiffness and lightness ensures that the sound is not colored and has the speed to reproduce the music with incredible precision.
The unique teardrop shape of the cabinet itself is selected because of its special acoustic properties. The design of the cabinet eliminates the standing sound waves, and this helps to give the cabinet optimal rigidity, so that it does not interfere with and color the sound reproduction. The top of the Sonetto II's cabinet is covered in leather to complete the elegant design. Because Sonus Faber is not just a speaker - it's also a beautiful piece of furniture.
Italian traditional culture
Sonus Faber has always drawn its inspiration from Italian culture, and with this series they have taken Italian literature as their starting point. The Sonetto (Sonnet) is the oldest Italian poetic structure, and it originally meant "Sound, Melody", which was traditionally used to accompany musical performances. The Sonetto series focuses on the foundations of literary history in Italy and in the rest of the world.
Like the Sonetto I, the Sonetto II can be supplemented with the beautiful Sonus Faber Sonetto Stands, which not only give a nice aesthetic look but also improve the sound reproduction.
